What do Marilyn Monroe, Kate Moss and Kristen Stewart all have in common? It's a tough riddle to solve, but the answer is that they have all been the face of Chanel. Well, at least as of this week, when K-Stew was named the new pout of the luxury fashion house.
From what we know the former Twilight star will rep the new Paris-Dallas 2013 Métiers d'Art Collection (a stereotyped country-western themed pre-fall campaign) with the all-important shots expected to be released sometime in May 2014.
We all know how très très fabulous the inimitable Kate Moss truly is. She's a super-super-model and fashion icon who launched leather pants, tuxedo jackets and rolled-outta-bed hair. Clearly the industry owes a great deal to our Kate, which is why it only makes sense that she be on the receiving end of a Special Recognition award at the British Fashion Awards next week, to acknowledge her contribution to the fashion industry during her 25-year career.
So you remember seeing Miley Cyrus' psychedelic cat print crop and Borat pants onstage at this year's American Music Awards? Well I'm afraid to say that crazy cat lady chic is contagious (just ask Kitty Purry) and, if you too would like to channel your inner Smiley-ness, stores have been more than happy to replicate this feline fancy.
This week was the filming of the eagerly-anticipated Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which airs every December on CBS. But while former Angel Miranda Kerr was notably absent from this year's show, that didn't mean the Aussie actress was happy to keep her name out of the press.
At times it can be tough being a celebrity. Ok, ok, I could barely keep a straight face typing that, but in all fairness what I mean is that it can be tough growing up as a celebrity. Especially a Kardashian.
Did you know Heidi Klum has a partnership with Toys 'R' Us? It comes as no surprise given the breadth and range of celebrity endorsements these days -- plus the relatively untapped market of fashionable tots -- but yes, just recently Klum debuted her Truly Scrumptious clothing line and accessories for children at Babies 'R' Us.
Lena Dunham isn't exactly known for her flawless fashion sense, either on the set of Girls, or off-screen on award show duty. Still, style isn't really the reason we love Lena, though I can't help but hold a little more admiration for her when she showed up at Miu Miu's Paris Fashion Week show in this red hot number.
Miley Cyrus' recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine wasn't just incredible (she and the journalist went skydiving before getting a tattoo), but also hilarious as the Grand Supreme of Twerk and Tongues talked about Justin Bieber, getting stink eye from Steve Carrel and how she now knows how to cook meth thanks to Breaking Bad. But continuing her trend of crazy quoteables, Smilers is now talking to Fashion magazine about her scandalous style.
Budding fashionista Hailee Steinfeld is only 16 years old, so it's kind of difficult to slam her for her fashion choices. Her stylist on the other hand, as well as the experimental clothing designers, well let's just say it's open season on them as we critique Steinfeld's recent red carpet outfit to the premiere of Relativity Media's Romeo & Juliet.
In the midst of TIFF, New York Fashion Week Spring 2014 is also well underway, which means celebs have been out in force to show the support for their favourite designers. The Michael Kors show was a big event for the star-spangled elite, even going so far as drawing both Katie Holmes and Kate Mara to the front row.
