On Thursday I was lucky enough to be invited (thank you, Attention and Bluefly
!) to see a preview of the new (and fabulous) film Confessions of a Shopaholic
starring the adorable and talented Isla Fisher. I have to admit the way the economy is going now I was hesitant to see a movie all about shopping (and I hadn't read the book), but I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, the movie made me think twice about spending, and definitely made me want to be more fiscally aware, but it was sweet, sad and definitely poignant considering the timing. Plus, the fab and creative Patricia Field once again made magic happen with Isla's wardrobe! She manages to pair together items, colors, patterns and prints that I would never ever imagine could or would work together, but on screen just look amazing, although that could also be because Isla is positively too-cute for words. If you (like me) are dying to steal just a piece of Patricia Field's brilliance, Bluefly is one step ahead of you featuring "Rebecca's Closet"
where Patricia discusses Isla's style in the film (and hopefully how you can steal it) and also shop your favorite looks from the film at a more affordable Bluefly-friendly price. Sounds like a shopaholic's dream to me!
